#1 Not All It's Cracked Up To Be
Men are interesting creatures, and they really do get the good side of the deal on a lot of things: They can't get pregnant. They don't have periods. They get paid more. But not everything about being a man is all fun and games! Click through this gallery to see the not-so-pleasant parts of being a dude.
#2 The O Face
Men may be able to achieve orgasm faster than most women can, but that doesn't mean they have the better experience in bed! The male orgasm lasts 6 seconds on average, while the female orgasm lasts for 23.
#3 Disorderly Majority
When it comes to autism and attention deficit disorders, boys make up the majority of those diagnosed. Boys are: 3-4 times more likely to be diagnosed with autism 3 times more likely to be diagnosed with ADD or ADHD.
#4 Poor Babies
Not only are men more likely to die younger than women in general, but they even have a higher infant mortality rate! Even though there are 107 boys born for every 100 girls, the little guys are 25% more likely to die before they become toddlers. A very sad fact.
#5 Only the Lonely
Older men are more likely to fall victim to loneliness than women, and because they avoid reaching out for help, it can have an adverse effect on their mental health.
#6 Death Becomes Them
You may already know that men have a shorter life expectancy than women (64.52 years vs 68.76), but did you also know that men: Have higher death rates in all 15 of the leading causes of death (except Alzheimer's) Make up 94% of all on-the-job deaths in the United States.
#7 Criminal Records
If you thought that men were more likely to commit crimes and abuse substances than women, you were right on the money! Men are: Three times as likely to abuse alcohol Twice as likely to abuse drugs like cocaine and marijuana 10 times as likely to commit murder Ironically enough, they're also more likely to be victims of crime. Men are 10 times more likely than women to be murdered, and both male and female criminals are more likely to target men. The odds are not in their favor!
#8 Men in Education
Boys in their teens are four times more likely to drop out of school, and over 75% of the kids in special education programs in the United States are boys.
#9 Suicidal Tendencies
When it comes to suicide, men around the world are more likely to take their own life than women. The rates do vary in some countries: In most countries, men are more than twice as likely to commit suicide. In Russia and Brazil, rates are six times as high for men as they are for women.
#10 Wet Dreams
According to sex researcher Alfred Kinsey, 84% of men will have a wet dream at some point in their life. While both boys and girls have wet dreams, particularly as children, for men it is noticeable and can be a mortifying experience. Because most of a girl's sexual processes take place out of sight, the situation is far less embarrassing for them. It's just another drawback to being a dude!
